Grand pictures! I wonder what kind of lens you were using?
I don't like carrying anything heavy and don't have an SLR, only a little Lumix DMC-TZ8 with 16x zoom, plus Olympus Tough (5x zoom) for wet conditions. So I can't take photos of the same standard as yours, especially of birds! I'm sure others on my trip with better equipment will have taken some magnificent pix which I fully intend to "borrow" ...
