Un Hongrois chez les Gaulois

I had dinner the other day with an Irish and an Italian friend in a Turkish restaurant and S. subsequently sent me this clip of a song about French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy. The son of a Hungarian immigrant, he is currently taking a tough stance on immigration, at least from Africa. It's in French but with French sub-titles, which is nice for (French-) language-learners!

That looks like a very chic Turkish restaurant. What's wrong with the Chaussée de Haecht? Bleeding Eurocrats, pushing everything upmarket. Hey thanks for dropping by my (reading) blog. I'm currently going through your archives looking for stuff I can steal. Don't let me disturb you.

Hi SG, nothing wrong with the Ch. de Haecht at all and I love Kargin in rue Méridien, at quite the opposite end of the scale from this one specialising in Ottoman cuisine.
Boo, I had lentil soup, mixed meat kebabs and a (Belgian, not Turkish!) warm chocolate cake with almond icecream, so you are half right! Incidentally I have had trouble commenting on your blog recently, google won't accept my blogger password. So if I've gone quiet it's purely for technical reasons, I am still thinking of you....
