I said I was a horse!

Said it on Boo's blog, as she was posting about the Year of the Pig which began on Sunday, but here it is confirmed... (and I note that Blogger let me in again after all!).
You Are a Pegasus

You are a perfectionist, with an eye for beauty.
You know how to live a good life - and you rarely deviate from your good taste.
While you aren't outgoing, you have excellent social skills.
People both admire you - and feel very comfortable around you.

Let there be light(s)

Sorry have been 2 busy 2 blog and now I' off to London for a few days ... but as Blogger wants me to trade up to their new version and says I can only post under the old one this ONCE, I'm not sure whether/how to continue anyway. I have already had problems with other people's blogs under the new system, having no google account and despite what it said the system has not always recognised me under my blogger name/password. Well, I'll cross that bridge when I come back next week, I hope everyone is fine and that at least I will be able to comment on their blogs in future.
In the meantime, here is the German presidency's idea of an art installation, called "More Light", at Rond-Point Schuman (Germany has the presidency of the Council of the European Union from 1 January to 30 June 2007).

What I didn't know about iguanas

From yesterday's Bulletin: "Mozart, an iguana at the Antwerp water-park Aquatopia, has had its penis amputated by a vet. It became infected after mating, resulting in a permanent erection. The good news for Mozart is that iguanas have two penises".

Feeling frosty

I've been in bed most of this week with a bad bout of bronchitis, I am prone to it at this time of year but this one really knocked me out. Anyway, had to postpone finding anything nice to blog about although I do like this photo from my Italy trip last December. It reflects how I have been feeling, despite my apartment being warm and the weather relatively mild, if murky. I am, however, beginning to notice the days lengthening, so that's good!
